1. 3 Day Escape: Mekong Delta & River Cruise
A drive south of the city lies a completely different world, devoid of busy streets, skyscrapers & nightlife. Instead, a maze of waterways, floating markets, local villages & lush fruit orchards. This is the Mekong Delta, comprising of Ben Tre, Can Tho and My Tho. A place for you to unwind and watch the world go by in tranquility.
- Day 1: Saigon to Ben Tre Countryside Adventure
Taking a private air-conditioned car with your own driver & English speaking tour guide. You will make your way to Ben Tre for the start of your 3 day break. On arriving at the coconut capital, you will board your very own Sampan boat to cruise the narrow palm lined waterways. You will disembark at local coconut candy workshops and then after lunch take a relaxing bicycle ride through the local villages. You will then be met by your driver and taken to your premium riverside ecolodge for the evening. Enjoy a peaceful dinner at your ecolodge and then relax at the bar.
- Day 2: Can Tho & Cai Rang Floating Market
After a delightful breakfast, you will head to Can Tho. Here you will board your private boat and head to Cai Rang Floating market. Watch as farmers and other locals trade their fruit and vegetables such as pineapples, pumpkins or watermelons. You will get the opportunity to board one of the trading boats to see their stock, which is also where many families live. The afternoon is yours to wander through the fruit orchards. Then head back to your ecolodge for a chilled early evening in the pool with drinks. The evening can also include a genuine Mekong Delta Cooking class. - Day 3: Wildlife Secrets of Tra Su Cajuput Forest & Return
Today after breakfast, you will journey to the furthest edge of the Mekong Delta. Taking a private air-conditioned car to Chau Doc, home to Tra Su. This is the most picture perfect place in all south Vietnam. At Tra Su, you will take a boat and glide through the green carpet of water lettuce. Above are the towering trees that make this forest a delight to visit. Calmly floating down this evergreen river, you could spot wild Herons nesting in the trees. After a local traditional Mekong lunch, you will then be taken back to Ho Chi Minh City arriving in the early evening.
