I have just finished a 2 week trip of Vietnam & it was phenomenal. I first heard of Travel Agent Hanoi in 2019 by chance. It popped up somewhere & I’m so glad it did. I quickly realised it was a family company who could personalise a tour to suit me. I had been in Ho Chi Min City for 2 nights in 2010 & always intended to go back & see more of the country. After my first contact with Simon, Covid came along & suddenly the years were passing far too quickly. So early in 2024 I got back in touch with Simon & together we planned a 2 week trip that would suit my limited mobility but also give me loads of exciting experiences.
I spent 4 nights in the madness of Hanoi, 2 nights on a brilliant boat on Halong Bay, 4 nights in lovely Hoi An and 4 nights in the mayhem of HCMC. Simon is also there to help out if you have any questions, our flights into Vietnam had to change when our first flight from Perth was late. We then had to go via Saigon, which meant we then had to enter the country there. No worries! Simon & Ngát organised for us to be met there & fast tracked through customs, instead of in Hanoi. This is also an amazing service, jumping the queues in some very busy airports!

Amazing 5 * Trip

We have just returned from a 20 day trip to Vietnam and wanted to share our wonderful experience of booking with Simon and Ngat! (Travel Agent Hanoi). During the planning stages, after highlighting the type of holiday we wanted Simon very promptly created a draft itinerary and made suggestions which were very helpful. He kept within our budget and all communication was very timely. There were 6 of us in our group with slightly different arrival and departure dates but all was executed with precision!

We started our trip from the North- Hanoi, Hue, Tam Coc, Hoi An, Ho chi minh city, Ben Tre, Mekong Delta and ended with last few days of relaxation at Phu Quoc Island

From the time we landed we got excellent treatment. After a very long flight as soon as we arrived, we were met by our guide and fast tracked through priority immigration which was very welcomed. Simon and Ngat kept in touch with us regularly throughout our holiday to check in with us. They were also able to answer any queries we had very promptly! We had 1 overnight sleeper train and 2 internal flights with our itinerary which were also delt with pression.

All the tours were organised very well with very knowledgeable local guides.
We are all vegetarian and this was well communicated by Simon and Ngat, we had some delicious meals provided within our organised tours and hotels.
We would not have any hesitation in recommending Simon and Ngat for a 5 Star trip with a local flavour! Thank you Travel Agent Hanoi for providing us with the best experience and we will definitely be back!!

Vietnam exploring, 6 places in 14 days!

A 5 star service, the whole trip was amazing, taking us from the city to beach and the total tranquility of Halong Bay.

Highly recommend Travel Agent Hanoi, Simon and Ngat were amazing, they included every area we wanted to visit and even suggested a Seaplane experience, not knowing this was on my husband's bucket list!

Arranging moped tours, a tour of Cu Chi* Tunnels, an open top jeep tour, food tours, city tours, boat tours and even recommending the best place to hire bicycles including bicycle tracks to explore.

The hotels were 5 star and honeymoon material in some cases. The one-on-one taxi service and tours were fabulous, it was a busy holiday yet relaxing as all we needed to do was look at our app to see what time we needed to be the reception! Our tour guides were great fun to be with and made our trips very special.

We absolutely loved our cruise of Halong Bay and didn't want to get off of the boat, this was a very special treat with just 9 in people in total on board the 5* Orchid Premium* Cruise.

Travel Agent Hanoi provided us with an amazing first-class personal service, they even contacted us to ensure we had found our taxi at the airport and checked in with us throughout our trip. I honestly believe we would not have had the same service and experience using another travel agent.

I would highly recommend this company and will defiantly use them in the future. There is so much to see and do in Vietnam we will be back!

Discovering Vietnam with Travel Agent Hanoi

What a trip, Vietnam is such an amazing country - the people, history, food, service and scenery left us in awe. We travelled from Hanoi to Halong Bay, Hoi An, Hue and ended our trip in Saigon/Ho Chi Minh.

Ahead of time Simon and Ngàt put together an amazing itinerary around these destinations, tailoring hotels, experiences and transfers to our budget and wishes. In all respects, the actuality exceeded our expectations. Simon and Ngàt were incredibly responsive and ensured any minor glitches were ironed out in no time at all.

Getting to Hanoi airport after 15 hours travelling was something of a culture shock - so we were delighted to be met airside, whisked through the priority lane (no queues!) and to have the luxury of private transfers built in to our itinerary. We were treated to an upgrade on our cruise of Halong Bay and a deeply moving private guide who took us through the war museum in Ho Chi Minh. Our tour guides were, without exception knowledgeable, friendly and engaging and spoke excellent English.

Vietnam, a beautiful country filled with beautiful people.

We spent 3 fabulous weeks in Vietnam with the help of Travel Agent Hanoi. It was our first time using a travel agency, but we felt it was necessary due to our trip’s long and complicated logistics. After a year of researching and communicating, Simon and his team crafted a beautiful itinerary for our trip.

We started in Hanoi and ended in HCMC. Each and every day was filled with amazing activities, knowledgeable drivers and exceptional tour guides. At a couple of points along our trip we really needed Simons help in resolving issues, and when we reached out he quickly and effectively got things back on track. He was always available to us anytime we needed him, and was an essential life line for us in a foreign country.

We had the opportunity to meet Simon and Ngat in Hoi An when they came to our hotel. It was such a pleasure meeting them. They were so easy to talk with and we found them to be very personable.

I’ll end it this way: It was my first time back to VN in 50 years. I had every emotion you can think of running through my heart and mind. Fear of not knowing what I was walking into as well as general nervousness. I was so pleasantly surprised and happy about how it all turned out. Only The Best Will Do

Simon is the consummate travel agent. I'm 74 years old and have needs most of you can't even imagine. I demand the best and do not want what others have, nor do I want where others go. Only a bespoke experience will do. My texts to Simon might have been overwhelming, but he handled everything with aplomb.

We chose to stay outside the Old City and the French Quarter because there were too many tourists. Yet, I wanted to be within walking distance of these crowded neighborhoods. Simon handled that. On our trip to the northern mountains, I needed luxurious accommodations at a reasonable price. Simon handled that. Only a market town tour where no other tourists had ventured would do. Simon handled that. He didn't balk or say it was impossible; Simon took on the challenge and mastered it well.

Simon's pricing was lower than others, but his attention to detail was better. If you don't use Travel Agent Hanoi, you're in error. Simon's the best.

Amazing experience

What can I say - an amazing holiday/experience which surpassed our expectations.I'd found Simon (Travel Agent Hanoi) on tripadvisor and he gave a bespoke itinerary based on our budget and what we wanted to see in Vietnam. He sent a draft, which included things I'd not seen in 'normal' travel agent brochures (a flight over Halong Bay, all transfers to airports, locations, tours were private, private tours around Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City not bus loads!)
We tweaked a few things and have just returned from a wonderful lifetime holiday. As he lives in Vietnam, he cuts out the middle man and we got much more for our money than if we'd have booked through Trailfinders or similar.
All you need to do is book your flights (he does any internal ones). Communication, daily if needed, is via WhatsApp and his itinerary app. When our flight was delayed he was able to change a few things so we didn't miss out on a street food tour and we did this another day. We saw the real Vietnam and loved every minute! Thanks again

We would strongly recommend Simon and his wife Ngat who run Travel Agent Hanoi as an agent for organising a multi-country (sic) holiday in Vietnam. We had explored options through UK agents and booking accommodation and travel independently. Simon originates from the UK and has set up a small family business in Vietnam. Thereby, he is able to combine the best of both worlds with his expert local knowledge. For example, we had considered visiting Sapa in November, but he advised that it would be a bit cold and relatively unattractive in this season. Instead, he recommended Ninh Bình which we really enjoyed. Simon put together a complete personalised package for us that involved fast-track through immigration on arrival, individual pick up and transfers, day tours and all hotel accommodation for our 17 day visit. From the outset, communication was excellent and this continued throughout the trip. This was complimented by a “Trip plans” App which was a great reference point throughout our journey. It was advantageous that he was in the same time zone and any WhatsApp questions were responded to within minutes. Furthermore, he made a special effort to meet with us in Hoi An and introduce his charming family. He was able to recommend a highly competent and price-competitive local tailor in Hoi An who was excellent. Overall, we couldn’t recommend Simon and Ngat of Hanoi travel highly enough and would definitely use him again ourselves.

As we found Travel Agent Hanoi - Simon, Ngat and their travel business - during our search through Tripadvisor, it seems appropriate to return there and say that all the 5 star reviews you read are completely justified. In our case we did a decent amount of reading and research on Vietnam to decide what we wanted to do over 20 or so days to include history, National Parks, culture & food, walking & biking and some R&R.
None of the leading or specialist tours covered all of our bases. I contacted Simon to ask if if he could fix it for us - and adding some of his own useful recommendations and taking time and attention to the detail - he gave us a bespoke agenda which looked brilliant on paper. But what's more it was delivered - in spades . We can't speak more highly of the service we received and the fact that consequently it turned out to be one of the holidays of our lifetime. As older travellers we indulged ourselves with top end hotels and where it made sense personal guides and a driver - but we didn't really expect when it said 'river trip' that we'd get our own private boat as well ! And all for a very reasonable price offering tremendous value for money. If you're in the young back-packing stage of life - as we have been - there are some great inclusive packages listed - and whatever your holiday needs or preferences - we feel sure you will get great service and value for money from Simon, Ngat and their team.

What a trip, made so much better having fine tuned arrangements with Simon, to meet my our specific needs and wishes.

My youngest son is currently in Australia, and we met up in Vietnam for a holiday and catch up.

Our wishes were slightly different, leading to numerous communications with Simon to ensure we got the best out of our 10 days together.

The tours and trips arranged for us were fantastic, together with other advice in do’s and don’ts in a country neither of us had visited before.
Exciting things like flying over Halong Bay hadn’t entered our heads, but sooooo glad we did that now.
Private transfers also made for very pleasant travel - and didn’t add that much more to the final bill (which I thought was excellent value).

I’m of an age where comfort is critical, but I don’t have unlimited funds, so chose the mid range accommodation package.
WOW, you get a lot for your money in Vietnam.
The hotels selected were in excellent locations, with some added bonuses (the WiFi dongle supplied by Odys boutique hotel in Ho Chi Minh city was particularly welcomed by my son).

On arrival at the airport, you get swamped by SIM card sellers. I didn’t buy one and personally didn’t think it necessary, having WiFi in the hotels being sufficient (for my needs).

The WhatsApp contact set up by Simon when in the country helped on the odd occasion, but that does need WiFi!

Overall, an incredible holiday taking in Ho Chi Minh city, Cu Chi tunnels (take the speed boat - you won’t regret it), Mekong Delta, Hanoi, Halong Bay, Ninh Binh and Tam Coc.

I’m planning on using Simon again next year to visit the Sappa valley, Hoi An and Danang.
His details have been passed to family and friends who are looking to go there, and I would recommend him to anyone

My wife and I just finished our 2 week break in Vietnam and it was absolutely perfect. Simon at Travel Agent Hanoi put together our amazing bespoke itinerary, which saw us travelling from the north through to the south. Where to begin!? Travel Agent Hanoi and, specifically Simon, were incredible. We couldn’t have had a more perfect experience.
