Vietnam have holidays throughout the year, certainly like other countries in the world. But nothing is quite so special as TET.

TET is undoubtedly the biggest holiday in Vietnam and is celebrated during the lunar New Year. TET holiday in Vietnam usually falls in late January or early February, depending on the lunar calendar.

There is certainly a lot of Vietnamese people travelling far and wide during this time. They all head to visit their folks back home in the villages up and down the country.

**Revised 27th November 2020 -

The Government Office announced Thursday 26th November 2020 that Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has approved a change to the 2021 Lunar New Year holiday. It will now start from 10th February to 16th February.

He has also approved further days off for next year’s National Day, now from 2nd September to 5th September, making it 4 days.
