We are 4 adults made up of my mum, my aunt, my niece and me. (There is no option to select “family” for this review). Both my mum and aunt are elder retirees. Simon and Ngat planned a suitable itinerary for us, considering our interests, ages, physical abilities. Kind of tricky as our ages range from 21 to 82! Ho Chi Minh half day city tours
Take the morning trip to visit The Independence Palace, which is also known as the Reunification palace, built on the site of the former Norodom palace. The Independence palace is a widely recognised landmark of Ho Chi Minh City and was designed by the architect Ngo Viet Thu. It was at this place, which signified the end of the Vietnam/American war in 1975, when a North Vietnamese army tank crashed through the gates. The tank is still located at the Independence Palaces’ property.

Continue to see beautiful architectural marvels from the French Colonial times such as the Notre Dame Cathedral & the historic Central Post Office. Following these sights, take a trip to the remarkable site of the War Remnants Museum which houses a vast display of both the Indochina wars.

In the courtyard a massive collection of military vehicles are on show as well as tiger cages for the visitor to get a feel to how it was to be a prisoner during wartime. In the museum building itself, each floor will represent a separate theme from the war and the war crimes committed towards the Vietnamese people.
