Mai Chau - 2D1N - Cycling and Trekking

Enjoy two days of stunning scenery while exploring this beautiful district of Mai Chau. Cycle around the minority villages and check out the every day life of these very friendly local people. Take a trek through the hills and woods of the local villages of Na Meo and Na Mo and get in touch with the culture surrounding you. Enjoy a minority tribal dance with a delicious BBQ in the delectable gardens of this Homestay. Then sleep overnight in a beautifully thatched bungalow with balcony and views across the valleys.


Day 1: Hanoi – Mai Chau (B,L,D)

After breakfast at 8am you will be picked up by our tour guide and transferred to Mai Chau by air conditioned bus stopping just outside Mai Chau for a view point that is simply wonderful. On arriving to Mai Chau you will be greeted by the friendly family of the Homestay and presented with lunch. After lunch you will then take the bicycles out for a ride through the local villages and meet the people working in their traditional houses and workshops. Visiting exporting businesses on the way before stopping for a quick drink and to relax before heading back to the Homestay for a shower and change of clothes, ready for the evenings entertainment. You will first enjoy a BBQ dinner with fresh bread baked in their home and a one hour traditional dance by the local minority tribe.

Overnight in private thatched bungalow or shared stilt house

Day 2: Mai Chau – Hanoi (B,L)

After breakfast you will take a walk through the local woods for about 4 hours and visit the local villages of Na Meo and Na Mo to understand more about local culture in Mai Chau. Once you arrive back to the Homestay you will take an excellent lunch before maybe taking the bicycles again to explore the local surroundings to check out the local weavers and charming businesses to collect some beautiful rugs, silk scarves or the like. Taking your transport back between 3pm – 3.30pm to return to Hanoi, arriving around 6pm – 6.30pm.
