Golf in Vietnam
If you were thinking a Vietnam golfing holiday doesn’t spring to mind, you would be right. But more and more affluent businessmen in Vietnam are turning their eye to playing golf with their chums.
Plenty of golf courses have been sprouting up all over Vietnam and its big business now. Here is a brief insight in to the golf courses available up and down the country. We will be writing an article for the 10 best Golf courses in Vietnam in due course...no pun intended!
Hanoi is a great base to stay whilst you enjoy some great locations for your Vietnam golfing holiday.
The nearest golf course in Hanoi itself, is just 10km away and a 20 minute drive by car.
A delightful course with excellent club house and complimentary food and drinks included in the golf fee.
If you are not officially on a golfing holiday but wish to keep your eye in. This will no doubt give you a nice walk and limber up whilst on your Vietnam holiday.
If you are perhaps on a golfing holiday in Vietnam, we would suggest heading outside the city. There are some excellent golf courses at gorgeous locations throughout Vietnam. The north of Vietnam with limestone mountain backdrops & lakeside views.
Hoi An is the most asked about destination for their Vietnam itinerary with Travel Agent Hanoi. It is one of our favourites too for sure!

There are plenty of golf courses in Hoi An to choose from but we will leave that to another article. One we would mention is Montgomerie Links, with villas and a superb fairway nestled in to the countryside of Hoi An. A round or two here will break up that perfect holiday to Vietnam.

Dalat is definitely a welcome cool climate from the heat and exhaustion suffered in the main cities like Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City.
A delightful round of golf in the mountains of Dalat would be right up your street on a golfing holiday to Vietnam.
The best time would be during the week to avoid the Saigonese travelling for a weekend break.
The Dalat Palace Golf Club is the place to be for a decent round of golf. This golf course nestles in between the mountainous region of Dalat with amazing views over Xuan Huong Huong Lake. Along with a French feeling to the architecture this is definitely a must if travelling through Dalat.

Fancy golfing by the sea, then Mui Ne is the golfing destination in Vietnam for you. Mui Ne is known for its unique sand dunes. These sand dunes are for surfing and boarding down.
But, if you are more interested in the sandy "bunkers", or staying out of them I should say! Then a round of golf in Mui Ne is just the ticket.
A reputable golf course we would mention is the Sea Links Golf Course with gorgeous views to sea. It has been known to have the most challenging 18 holes in Vietnam. Maybe you should take that to the test!
Ho Chi Minh City
After a long walk in the city, perhaps a caddy ride whilst golfing in Ho Chi Minh City is on the cards.
Head out of the city around a 40 minute drive and you can find a lovely golf course to fit in 18 holes for the day.
There are also plenty of golf shops in Ho Chi Minh City to help with any extra equipment you may require or didn’t bring on your Vietnam holiday.
Stay in Saigon and enjoy the sights and for a free day get yourself a round or two in of golf.
